Welcome to CM Backcountry Rentals & Adventures, Guided Snowmobile Tours! McCall, Idaho is known for it’s outdoor beauty and the best snowmobiling in the Northwest. With hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails and destinations to see it makes an unbeatable place to explore.
With many destinations to snowmobile too it’s hard to choose which one to do in a day. Some of the more popular destinations to travel to is Burgdorf Hot Springs where you can enjoy an afternoon in a naturally maintained hot spring with gravel bottoms, heated dressing rooms, and 150 gal/min fresh geothermal water flow. They also have overnight packages available where you can stay in their authentic rustic cabins. Another great destination is the Secesh Stage Stop where you can enjoy a hot meal and a nice fire to warm up before your ride back. With many more places to go the choice is yours for your adventure for the day.
CM Backcountry Rentals & Adventures would love to show you an experience of a lifetime in the backcountry of McCall, ID. Book your experience as soon as possible, as our schedule for the winter season fills up fast! We do daily guided tours, book any day you wish!
Guided Trail Tour
Minimum (2) persons required for Guided Trail Tour and they may ride double on a single 2-up snowmobile
Guests can expect to see scenic sites like Burgdorf Hot Springs, Secesh, Warren, and many mountain ranges in between.
- Tour times: 10am-5pm
Includes:
- (2) sets of riding gear
- (1) 2up snowmobile
- fuel
- lunch is not provided but can be arranged
Guided Mountain
If you have the skills and don’t need the training but want to see the epic zones that McCall, ID has to offer then a guided mountain trip is just what you need.
- Adventure times: 10am-5pm
Requirements:
- 2 or more in your party or join in on a pre booked trip
- Avy gear is required and available for rent.
Our Guides
My ultimate goal when starting CM Backcountry Rentals & Adventures ten years ago was to be able to share my passion and love for snowmobiling with other people. Being able to see other people experience the sport of snowmobiling and seeing them fall in love with a new adventure is something truly special. I grew up riding snowmobiles from the young age of six years old. From the moment I sat on a seat of a snowmobile, I fell in love with the sport. Growing up, I put snowmobiling first and everything else second. I dedicated my time to become the best snowmobiler I could possibly be. Now that I have been lucky enough to make snowmobiling my career, I push harder and harder every winter to make myself and others around me better. I strive to set an example on the mountain while riding and to show people what they are capable of on a snowmobile. The riding clinics we offer here at CM Backcountry has been a dream of mine for many years, I enjoy teaching people and exploring the backcountry from the seat of a snowmobile. Hi, my name is Tim McMahon, aka barbershop. I’m from Helena, Montana in the summer and living the dream here in McCall during winter. I’ve been around snowmobiles ever since I could remember, whether it was wrenching on them or riding them they have been a big part of my life. In the last few years I had started thinking about turning my hobby into a career. I was lucky enough to get a chance to come work for Cody and Shelby at CM Backcountry the last 2 seasons and have loved every minute of it. Being able to guide has been a dream of mine ever since I started the sport and it sure hasn’t disappointed. The first thing I think everybody notices when coming to McCall is how cool the landscape and terrain is. Whether you’re hitting the jungle or heading for a soak at Burgdorf, the views and riding are epic. I am super happy to be coming back for the 2020-2021 season and look forward to all the adventures and fun we have and seeing new and old faces.
